 Thursday Night Concert Series

 Are you in the mood to “dance the night away?” Come check out the downtown Summer Concert Series in Siler Spring. This FREE event kicks-off on June 21. Adults can groove while kids get their face painted. The concert series also features raffle prizes for adults and kids!

 Fenwick’s

 If you’re into cycling, make a pit-stop at Fenwick’s apartment building. This friendly outdoor space is home to amazing art displays created by local artists. These artists include Margaret Boozer, BrocoLoco, and Anne Marie Cherre. One viewer favorite is the moveable bird by Margaret Boozer. Before continuing your ride, don’t forget to fill your water bottle at the outdoor water station. 

 Fresh Farm Farmers Market

 Downtown Silver Spring is home to the 2nd largest Farmer’s Market in the Fresh Farm network. This family-friendly market is open every Saturday throughout the year. Over 45 farmers and producers help stock the market each week. You can find items such as fruits, meats, baked goods, sauces, wine and beer, and more!

 Discovery Communications

 Need a quick day trip with the kids? The Discovery Communications building is a must see in Downtown Silver Spring. You will find a large audio-kinetic ball machine by George Rhoades. Some say it creates sensory overload for children and adults alike. The machine has bouncing balls, ringing bells, moving gorillas, and video screens. Guests should sign in at the front desk for admittance.

 Coastline

 Known by locals as “the wave pool”, Coastline is an art piece created by Jim Sanborn. The fixture serves as an example of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. This water environment/ornamental fountain is a perfect representation of a working coastline.
